David, Najashi, Jordan & Craig - November 7 - Calypso Kaleidoscope

 

 

 

Najashi (far left), Jordan (center left), and David (center right) are Calypso Kaleidoscope and today their music transported me out of the square to a tropical beach with a Mai Tai in hand. Not only is their name pretty awesome but those steel drums were beautiful and really shaped the Afro-Caribbean sound. Calypso Kaleidscope can often be found playing at the Jamaican Jerk Hut, a super fun, outdoor venue on South Street and 15th. Check out a video of them playing here.
